Byakko - a midget or chibi fox, Byakko is light-hearted, always thinking of his stomach, excitement and treasure, and not necessarily in that order. He's also a sorcerer of some degree, though he hasn't quite figured out that the gemstone in his never removed glove keeps amplifying his spells at the worst possible times.
Gingami - one of the few humans in Baka Kimya-ko, and Byakko's sidekick, so to speak. A master swordsman with the atypical bishounen look with long white hair and a somewhat smug attitude. He and Byakko are best friends, and he's constantly ribbing the small fox for both his height and his clumsiness when it comes to many things.
Princess Touhime - Sadly never showing up in the comic proper, this little feline princess is the daughter of the original king, whom was deposed by Haruko as told in the beginning story of the comic. She is treated like a prisoner, but commonly finds ways out of her room and the castle to explore the town, and has become quite adept at being a thief.
Queen Haruko - wa wolf, and current queen of Kimya-ko having forcefully deposed the former ruler with her black magic. Without the world's casting stones to grant her even greater power, she is a very cold and harsh mistress, and extremely cruel. She rules with an iron fist and has no qualms about striking down any who oppose her.
Onikawa - a half-demon tiger, master of the spear and bound in servitude to Haruko. He has a magical bracelet bound to his wrist that lets the wolf queen know of his whereabouts at all times. He is commonly the only individual in the castle to try and befriend Princess Touhime, even helping her escape undiscovered on several occasions. His demon side grants him a more feral, were-like form.
Unknown Draconic - Simply put, I cannot for the life of me remember this character's name. He was essentially a warrior-priest who was going to join up with Byakko, Gingami and Touhime after they fled the city to escape Haruko, because every party needs a healer and fist-fighter, don't you think?
Unknown Canine - Another name I can't remember, this particular character was a rival lord of a land outside Kimya-ko's, and spent his time challenging and harassing the beleagured land and more importantly, its mistress. His hatred of Haruko and the power she bears has driven him half insane, making him an incredibly dangerous swordwielder.
