how is it done?

This is a simple Tutorial to show how to do Special Effects in Photoshop

After you have done the basic coloring and linart ( i use layers to 'paint' my backgrounds)
you well then have 3 stages of lighting effects to add in - Background, Character and Lineart

First is the background- make a layer BELOW the main picture - i set the layers to 50 precent that
of normal and change the filter - (its all about experimetantion - choose what looks best to you)

Next is the characters, this is done above the main picture - but NOT on the lineart layer - this one
only effects the colors on the characters but not the lineart - i use lighten (it is best to avoid using
dodge or burn tools - they tend to make things look to dark or harsh)

Next part is working on ABOVE the lineart layer - all stuff done above it - well effect the lineart
and the final picture - this is where you can use Liner light and soft light - i also make gradient
layer of full colors to inhence the mood

Final stage is the touch up adding in the effects - this is just a brush set to pin light - and just dotted
around - but applied properly it can work really well ^^
